Will the Chanel Brand Suffer From New Allegations That Founder Coco Chanel Was a Nazi Collaborator?
"Abwehr?? She was an agent for Abwehr?? They were the even more secret competition to the Gestapo (secret state police). That's 100,000 times worse than anything Charles Lindbergh did as an famous American who was 'sympathetic' to the nazis. This is eye-opening stuff, Rivkah - not just that there were famous people (& businesses) that worked with/for Hitler, but an agent in Abwehr???? They SHOULD make a movie about it, Alastair! "...Big, slow, loping organizations. That reminds me of what they taught us as kids about big Dinosaurs like the Brontosaurus. Supposedly, they were so big, they had a 2nd smaller brain in the base of their spine to make their back legs move. While it's probably no longer thought of that way (i.e. we were told a dumb lie), I always loved to liken it to how big organizations work - the 'head' brain isn't too sure what the 'butt' brain is doing!!! (Sorry, I couldn't resist - I've been holding this one in for almost 50 years!) Duncan"How To Promote Your Product Through Media Advertising
"Good points, Peter, but in the U.S., sports commercials are usually reserved for very low-brow stuff: mindless beer commercials, pick-up trucks, the "no-gray-beard" bit, etc. i.e. They're not so 'sports-minded' as they are aimed at empty-headed stereotypical men who've already quaffed at least a 6-pack. One exception might be golf, where there seem to be a lot of ads from financial institutions. Duncan"Subscribe

"Ha!! I love it! Gubmen is my euphemism for the "government". Somehow, it seems fitting."
