"Enlightening as always, Adam. As a moderator here on BizSugar, what surprises me are some 1st-time authors who start with a controversial or possibly offensive article. Since the audience doesn't really know where they're coming from yet, why not introduce themself in such a way that they get to know their core values 1st, then if they throw in a little controversy (or salty language), the readers will have a way to gage it. "Hi Azeem. I like what you said about the automotive expert being asked questions in his field, but not about fly fishing (in the paragraph about 'refining'). The funny thing is that celebrities on talk shows - or just stopped on the street by a reporter - are asked about all sorts of subjects that have nothing to do with whatever their expertise is (if any, now that we have celebrities whose only claim to fame is that they are somehow considered a celebrity). I've seen it too many times in my working life - the complainer gets almost everything their own way, everyone else is treated normally (or beneath).
