Rag to Riches Stories that Will Inspire You to Be Successful (If You Take Action) - Biz Epic
"Ivan: Thanks for sharing your personal business story! I started my first trading company in the end of the 80's, importing tea and 3.5" floppy disks. It was a real challenge to find an independent distributing channel for tea and I managed to cut the price on diskettes, but after some time, all the margin was gone. In the mid 00's I started a café and business center together with some other part-owners. The idea of a meeting place for business minded individuals was a good one, but a bit too early... You could read what I have learned from this venture, by reading my piece on American Express Open Forum, Five Lessons Learned from my Start-up — And why I’d Do it Again, 01/19/2009. I am now involved in an online start-up, dealing with slogans on clothing. We will use the power of new media in order to become successful and we have no real monetary risk involved (no inventory, only print-on-demand). I look forward to the day when Biz Epic will write about us! :)"
