My Business Story: How I Transformed Disability and Despair into a Career as a Professional Writer
"Jackie, Thank you much! Time is precious though I must admit I don't want to spend it all writing. I have a dream, I call it the two-year plan, that our family will move close to the shores of the Sea of Galilee (called here, the Kinerret). There we will have a retirement home for dogs. I love dogs. I especially love dogs that were previously abused (we have 2) that can be rehabilitated and turned inot happy, loving creatures. I also tend to love dogs that nobody else wants. Anyway, it's a dream, but perhaps one day... Yoni"Social Media Marketing – How to be Ahead of the Pack, Fast!
"The rock 'n roll band "Bad Company" had an album called "Running With the Pack" (1976). I guess within the pack is where I would rather be if the option is selling my soul to Social Media. Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but Social Media seems to take a lot of time and a lot of effort. Kudos to you and those who are using it to the max. I'd just rather spend that extra time hiking with my family and dogs and enjoying fresh air and this wonderful world God created for us. Sometimes it seems that Social Media can be a second full-time job. Yoni"Why Every Small Business Owner Is A Salesman And Why So Many Fail At It
"Adam, Great job! Firstly, I wanted to send you a follow-up email about blog monetization; I'm locked out of my account and Google Apps promises me the issue will be resolved shortly. Secondly: "Taken a step further, you are also “selling” to anyone in the public at large, even to those who will not become your customers in the short-term." I agree. One thing that perplexes me is reading a lot about targeting certain segments of the buying populace. I'm no expert in marketing, I'll say that first. But it puzzles me that so many advocate "selling" only to that certain segment which is most likely to buy. I think that anyone is a potential customer and widening the net, so to speak, to get the message out to anyone and everyone, rather than the so-called-target, can only benefit a business. 3. "Missing basic communication skills." My wife and I just got back from shopping. We went in to a cosmetic store for her mascara. The clerk spoke on her cellphone while my wife had a question to ask her...a conversation with her boyfirend. She looked at me and said "I'm giving her 30 seconds to get off the phone." She didn't disconnect and we headed for the door. The clerk asked why we were leaving and ended up getting an earful. Communication skills? What ever happened to "May I help you" or "I'll be with you in just a moment?" Just a few thoughts, Yoni Yoni "Subscribe

"Thank you Susan, I'm glad it is having the intended effect. I prayed that it would not come across as me wallowing in self-pity or sounding whiney. I wanted it to be a tool to show anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation that there is a way to turn lemons into lemonade. Thanks, Yoni"
