10 Things to do Before You Start Your Business
"Great advice all around. I think differentiating yourself is the most important. As you say, there are 100s or 1000s of others in search results. You have to be differents, have your "Shtick"as the Yiddish expression goes. It can be appearance, personality, humor, anything. The basis of trust and reliability has to be there, but once that is in place, you need something to stand out from the crowd. Yoni"Delegation Is a Risky, But Necessary Business
"David, I heard a great interview with the 49ers coach Bill Walsh while the team was at the height of their football success. 1990s? The interviewer asked Walsh "What do you do to be so successful?" His reply? He said he barely does anything. HUH? He went on to explain that his methodology as head coach was surrounding himself with other coaches below, subordinates, all specialists in their own fields (offense, defense, special teams, running, kicking, etc.) and letting them do their jobs. I'm not big into delegation, but he sounded VERY convincing!"10 Kickass Ways to Use Humor for Your Internet Marketing Success
"I was ripped a new a** by a reader once who said there is no place in business writing, including blogging for humor. He said he would not return, prefering instead, conservatibe business wisdom and advice. I respected his decision. But...I agree with you completely. People love humor. Look at the % of people who tune in to late-nite talk-shows, go to comedy clubs...I used to go to a great one at Station Square in good-old Pittsburg, PA, and loved it. People love Woody Allen, even though I think it's pretty damn creepy that he married his adopted daughter...not funny. Rodney Dangerfield. People love humor. They love to laugh. They like jokes, silliness, lightness, funny videos, humorous pictures. So, I ask, why not in business. As long as you offer good advice, is causing a chuckle a crime? You have given a great answer in an awesome post!"Holocaust Memorial Day 2011: Recalling the BUSINESS of the Holocaust
"Duncan, Thanks! Your words mean a lot! And to those who said it could never happen again, three words: Cambodia, Bosnia and Rwanda. In Rwanda, the speed was even faster: 800,000 people in 100 days, killed mostly by machetes. Yoni"Holocaust Memorial Day 2011: Recalling the BUSINESS of the Holocaust
"David L., Firstly, thank you for your kind message inviting me to stay here and brush off the bad feelings I had. I got quite a few. I accept. They say you dont really find friends via Social Media. You are a pal. Secondly, and on a lighter note, in the movie "Canadian Bacon" which I'm sure you are familiar with, a devastating war is on the brink with the EVIL Canadians. It could be millions of dead on both sides of the border. It's Bud B. Boomer to the rescue. As for the punch in the face, it's happened in Bosnia, Rwanda, Cambodia and now in Darfur. Why as humans do we say "never again" and then let it happen again, and why do we rely on the impotent UN for guidance (sorry to any employees of the impotent UN who may be offended by this opinion)."Subscribe

"Part of the strategy is going to be the photographic proof...the corpse. I don't need proof, I believe they got him. But unfortunately delaying the evidence will feed conspiracy theorists who will say "Why the delay? They must have been doctoring up a photo. He's probably still alive and living in a condo in the French Riviera" Conspiracy theories drive me mad. "
