"Tristan, Good introspective post. First of all, if I had a dime for every dumb thing I did in my life, I would be rich and not need to work anymore. We are humans and make mistakes. Secondly, yes, things did get very heated and I did lose my bearings a bit in my comments. I was pissed! So did others. Thirdly, I am not above being controversial in my writing. Pushing buttons and pushing the envelope can be a good thing. It fosters dialogue and gets conversation going. Fourth. I don't begrudge you for your post (not anymore...I'm over it). I don't think you are a bad person. I just think you made a REALLY bad choice. 66 years after the death of Hitler, it's still an open wound. Not just for Jews. For 21 million Russians, and millions of Americans, Brits, French, POWs, etc... I think the best litmus-test for a post is whether or not it opens wounds and has the ability to cause pain. Hitler definitely would fail that litmus-test. This was a good post. Introspection and soul-searching are a good thing. You are a heck of a writer and I will continue to read. "Ivan, I enjoyed the post. It is a struggle to come to terms sometimes with our success and failure in the realm of God. But, we must remember that as our Father in Heaven, all is for our own good. God answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is "no." We must take what we receive with blessings and thanks and know that there is a good reason for the things we ask for but don't receive.
