I do a lot of work from home, and this is always a challenge. I've found that getting up earlier or trying to get work done at night is the best. That way, I can spend time with my family and enjoy having them there, instead of figuring out ways to keep them from interrupting me. Not to mention, any "work" that actually gets "done" when everyone is around is never the same quality.

Family often don't understand and respect work what is done from the home. I mean that on older persons in the house.

When they are on their vacation and when they also sees you working from home in your room, they often think you don't doing anything. That can be very tricky. :)
