Can You Compete with Amazon,Walmart, & Co… and Win?!
"I look at it this way... What's happening in the business world parallels, to a certain extent, what happens in the natural world. In some of the harshest environments in nature, such as the African safari, there are many differnent kinds of animals that can survive. Each species has its own hunting or scavenging skills and techniques, and each has an established a niche in the highly competitive environment of the safari ecosystem. The key to survival is staying true to those inherent skills and techniques and knowing the right time and place to express them. Big businesses have a lion's share of resources, power, and “procured” knowledge. It's a fact, whether we small business owners like it or not. But that doesn't mean there aren't still plenty of openings for smaller companies to get in and not only survive, but thrive."Are You Properly Insuring Your Home-Based Business?
"Thanks, Heather. I think of the two main reasons why home-based business owners sometimes forgo insurance, that first one about not really thinking that they need it in the first place, is more prevalent. People are running their businesses from home, they're trying to save money, and they don't even consider insurance as a necessary business expense. In many cases though, it's a big mistake."Revamp Your Online Marketing in 2013 with These Savvy Strategies
"Hi Ti, Yes, ebook marketing can be a powerful traffic generating, brand-building tool, and the best part is that you can often re-use a lot of the content you've already produced to put it together. I think many business owners get intimidated by the "book" part of ebook. They may not realize that the definition of an ebook is very flexible."Revamp Your Online Marketing in 2013 with These Savvy Strategies
"A hundred percent... I look at it this way: with niche social networking sites, such as BizSugar, a space has already been created for you to promote your content and engage with like-minded people. With the bigger social sites, you often have to bring a shovel and a knife and carve out that space for yourself. There are benefits to the extra work, though. Because you are being forced to develop connections, those connections and the content you put in often come out stronger."The "killer content" that kills your blog!
"There is a saying that goes, "not being able to see the forest for the trees"... Some bloggers are trying so hard to put out "quality" content that they totally miss the point, like you said, and their readers. If bloggers are connected to their strengths and passions, their niche, and their readers, then this won't happen so often. "10 New Things SEOs Should Care About For 2012
"This is very well written... I'm seeing that a lot of people and businesses (especially the big ones that have the money to throw into their "web optimization" strategies) are very confused about what Google has been penalizing, and they are going to an extreme to avoid getting the search engine axe. This is also not good; they don't realize that things such as creating a profile on G+ yet leaving it inactive and incomplete or artificially trying to "optimize" the linking within a post, is also going to backfire in the long-run. Just look at what is happening with guest posts. Nothing works better than understanding your market, knowing where they hang out online, and what problems you can be solving for them or what quality you can give. All these SEO trends, while important, are not the goal. They are only part of the means. "10 New Things SEOs Should Care About For 2012
"You just answered yourself... Because guest posting has become such an "easy" and "free" way to get backlinks, it's being abused by seo "professionals" and spammers... And Google has taken notice. See this video of Matt Cutts on the topic http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=IMxC3wQZOyc It's only a matter of time before guest post links will be demoted in terms of link juice value"Subscribe
