I haven't been a customer of Zappos since I am not in the US. However, from the videos that they create and published on their Youtube channels as well as all those good press about their customer service and company culture, I am convinced that everyone should be paying attention to what the company is doing and this blog post will help you out."
Great post, now Facebook Page admins can move beyond spamming links to their own sites. There are still a lot of businesses and brands out there that see Facebook Pages as another broadcasting platform instead of a venue to engage and interact with their fans. This will shift over time as fans move towards quality fan pages and the amount of good blog posts like this will help to guide business owners and marketers on this aspect."
I think we as marketers and business owners should really move past the numbers in order to decide whether to participate in a social media platform. Yes, 350 million is a huge number and everyone we meet might have a Facebook account. However, there is still a large number of people (The United States alone has an estimated population of 300 million but only 100 million of them are on Facebook) that are not on Facebook. Yes, Facebook will continue to grow but my point is, don't start marketing your business on Facebook just because everyone around you seems to be talking about it. It may become a tool to help you learn (by following knowledgeable individuals or resource sites), networking with other business owners or just to socialize with friends, but for marketing, you still have to decide whether your target audience is on Facebook."
I'm wondering whether businesses and big corporations will continue to spend money trying to advertise for the purpose of branding. As brand engagement can be done through other platforms like social media and content marketing, it strikes my interest as to whether big companies will increase or decrease their ad budget dedicated towards brand advertising. Not saying that the whole idea of advertising will go away but I think it will be interesting to see how the whole advertising space will trend on this."
Great compilation of social media tips there. For a starter, I would recommend not to swallow each and every of the tips because it's overwhelming. Pick a few and start integrating them into what you are currently doing with social media. Also, different businesses have different sets of target audience on social media platforms so you should be trying to figure out how to use apply these tips to your business."
I use Twitter Lists privately to categorize people that I follow. As for lists created by others, I use them to find new people to follow. Without a doubt, Twitter Lists has been useful for me until now. This video gave me a view of other uses that I will try them out for sure."
I think every aspiring entrepreneur who is still having problems coming up with a business idea can think along the lines of green products and services. Many things that we use everyday are "not-so-green" yet and hopefully, some entrepreneurs will come along and make some changes."
