How Social Media Helps Your Business Make Money
"Shawn, Had you asked me about seven months ago I would have responded, "no value whatsoever." I hate technology, I hate computers and I long for the good old days. I very, very reluctantly at my wife's INSISTENCE immersed myself in it. The results are absolutely amazing. It now accounts for virtually all of my business, though my use is limited. Limited to BizSugar and Twitter for all intents and purposes. I post a blog, I link it to BizSugar and I "Tweet." Still no use of LinkedIn or any of the other so called "biggies." Even through this limited usage, my blog readership has quadrupled. the article was phenomenal and it was great to get the perspective of other BizSugar members. Thanks, Yoni"F#$K The Quick Buck
"Risetothetop: Sorry, I have to (respectfully) disagree for a second time today. There is a time for the quick buck and time for the refined, slow sale, but I can't agree that those going for the quick buck will lose and those going for the slow sale will win. Too much of a generalization. I have seen countless instance where going for the quick buck leads to a long-term relationship, and those where going for the refined sale takes so much time it never happens. Done correctly I think there is a time and a place for both approaches, Respectfully, Yoni"Send Your Marketing To The Hot Tub Time Machine
"MrBigIdeas: Gotta disagree with you at least partially on this one. Sure there is a tima and a place for seriousness, but there is also one for the not so serious. Whether you call it dumb, quirky or downright insane, wackiness sells. It makes people laugh, it makes people smile and it makes people buy. It's the reason why a lot of Super Bowl adds are off the wall, it's the reason why commercials are off the wall and it's the reason why if "Beavis and Butthead" were marketing anything from soda to burgers to cars, I'd be the first one in line to buy :)"You’ve Got Mail – Email Marketing Do’s and Don’ts
"CIK: Great comprehensive article on emailing. I never really thought about not sending mail on Monday and Friday, but now that you point it out, it makes perfect sense: Monday: respondent too busy; Friday: respondent thinking about the weekend, not work! "Alan, Thank you so much for your response and I'm pleased that I was able to connect on an emotional level. Asimov holds a special place in my heart too. I've read all of his major works. It's one of the reasons that when searching for a quote to use for this article, I checked out his great snippets of wisdom. Milk-Bone Shows the World “Through a Dog’s Eyes”
"I like all dogs...well, almost all. Beagles have for some reason always rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not sure why, but when I see one, I always cross the street to avoid having to pet it. Anyways, nice post. Sorry I saw it 327 days too late. "
