Curing The Social Media Blues
"Pat, As a follow-up thought: blogging needs to be enjoyable! It is something whose ideas are born from inspiration, not from being forced. As a professional writer, and literary writer, I shun those who say sit at the computer until ideas come. It's no cure for writers block. When ideas come, they come. Also I would advise not to turn something such as blogging, which should be optional, into an obligation. That's when it becomes frustrating! "Karl, Great information. Fabulous idea offering a discount for those who sign up for a newsletter. If I ever get around to starting a newsletter it is something I will certainly do. Thanks for a very informative and educational post! Yoni"When Does a First Impression Start?
"VisibleLogic, I actually found this article to be very interesting and your logo design and meeting area quite eye-catching. In my freelance writing business, I seldom have face-to-face encounters with clients due to distance. As a matter of fact, the last client I met with personally was about five months ago. I guess some first impressions must be answering the phone and that all-important first email response. Yoni"To Err is Human. To Make Up for It Is Even More Human: A Lesson In PR & Damage Control in the Internet Age
"Susan, Thanks so much for your response! I think you are right in that it is often not an easy thing to do. But the implications of not can be harder to deal with. All it takes is one bad review or one negative comment to hurt. I have had a few difficult customers who I ended up bending down and "kissing the rings on their fingers" to please them because I knew that if not, they seek their vengeance. I think one of the best solutions is to find out who is going to be the combative, belligerant and non-cooperative customers and filter them out before we even get started with them. There are usually those initail signs of being over-demanding and "whiny!" I believe you summed it up very nicely in one of your BizSugar posts, which is now, by the way, the fourth-highest rated post in BizSugar history!!!! All the best, Yoni"Subscribe
