FOXNews.com - Crazy, Bizarre, Freaky and Offensive Vintage Ads: What Were They (We) Thinking?
"Shawn and David L.: Excellent point and thanks for responding. Very valid question and one I will try and look into: How effective, if at all, these were. All I know is that in these days and times, quite a few of these would cross the line of good taste/appropriateness and probably would raise the ire of customers and rights groups. Thanks for the comments and I'll post a follow-up if i can uncover anything. Yoni"Customer Service Statistics [INFOGRAPHIC]
"Nice stats and graphics David! It's very interesting with these infographics how many different subjects they analyze, investigate and dissect. Be well up in Canada, a wonderful place where we would fish for salmon and drink Moosehead beer (very good brand) when I was still stateside. Nice post! Good info for businesspeople. I dream of one day having so many customers I need to place people on hold. And also having a hiree to boss around :) Yoni"If I Had a Million Followers, I’d Be (Fill in the Blank)
"I hit 1,000 once on Twitter but 30% were pornographers and spammers! I erased them. I've always been the type who is happiest surrounded by a few close friends rather than huge crowds. I guess I feel the same on Twitter: A few influential people are enough!"How Weak International Business Writing Can Destroy Your Brand
"Great article GlobalReach: As I have found out, it can be as simple as forgetting that in Britain it's a "lorry" and a "lift", not a "truck" and an "elevator." And it can go as far as Chevy's Nova, which translated into Spanish means "doesn't go!" As international writers by default, we must do some hefty amounts of research to get it right! "Holy S%@t David, that's a lot of tips. I read the first page but it will take me a bit to get through the links. I have my own three tips for working from home: 1) Start early 2) Take dog out often 3) Reward self with a pint of Guinness at the end of a long workday! Thanks for a great post! Yoni"Subscribe
FOXNews.com - Crazy, Bizarre, Freaky and Offensive Vintage Ads: What Were They (We) Thinking?
"Yes, Braden and Al, certainly the epitome of horrible advertising! The title says it all and begs the question: what the hell were they thinking? The one, "Is it always legal to kill a woman?" is absolutely inexcusable. Wonder how it would go over today? Yoni"
