Who Ya' Gonna Call? Ghostbusters! Well Actually, Ghost-Bloggers! The Power of a Surrogate Writer…
"Susan, Thank you so much for your valued, valuable and always appreciated feedback and comments! "David, Your points are valid and right on the mark! There definitely needs to be open communication between the two sides. Without this key ingredient, the end result will be frustration and endless rewrites! It is about learning who the business owner is in terms of goals, mentality and expectations! Thanks for your comments and input! Looking forward to reading your next post here on Biz Sugar! Yoni "Short Term Thinking Can Harm Your Business
"Susan, Excellent post and WISE words! I initially fell into the one-off project trap. I didn't at first recognize that there was another way. My mind has since changed and become more in line with your great thinking. I would at first market random writing services; then I realized there was in fact a chain: resume...corporate bio...website (or website overhaul). I have since gotten more and more "package deals." Writing in general is a profession stuck to the one-off mentality. But as you state there is a better way. It's about keeping customers in a pipeline, getting referrals and word-of-mouthers and having a more continuous stream of work. It is about offering solutions! Thanks for another info-packed, thought-provoking post! Yoni"Short Term Thinking Can Harm Your Business
"Susan, I think package deals benefit both sides and when I explain it like this, customers seem pleased: When we speak of a resume, corporate bio and website I have a great deal of consolidated information. I can use it in 3 seperate arenas at once instead of going back later. It saves me time which will save you money. Plus on top of that I usually give an additional, steep discount. As you state, it is also the sense of caring they seem to feel that someone is looking out for them. Yoni"Memorial Day
"Martin, Excellent post. The story of Van T. Barfoot ("A One Man Army") is a compelling one (his heroism) and a ridiculous one (the homeowners' association and the flagpole controversy). It seem that in certain circles in America (I am an avid foller of FOXNews) patriotism, heroism, gallantry and the flag are no longer things to be proud of. It's puzzling. America is the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave" and a place where political correctness has gone to crazy proportions."Subscribe
What Do You Want Your Customers To Do?
"Susan, Great post! But what else would I expect from you!? From samples (which ice-cream parlors perfected) to referrals and incentives, from recommendations to tools and strategies to encourage return customers, from value to packages, you hit it all in this excellent post! You are truly an inspirational writer and thinker and I so appreciate the knowledge that you are imparting in life, business and marketing! Regards and appreciation, Yoni"
