Work and Disability: How One of the Worst Mornings of My Life Turned Into a Paycheck by Evening
"Thank You Adam! Much appreciated! I have just sent an email to you. It is my first day at home feeling normal and working in many weeks. The package, thoughtful and a lovely gesture, actually had a postmark from The netherlands, although it was sent internally in Israel?? WTF?!?!? i guess it took the long route from Beit Shemesh! "Alastair, Thanks! A lot of my inspiration comes from kids. The Hematology Day Treatment unit where I have my treatment is in the same wing as the Oncology treatment center. In addition to seeing adults and the elderly there, I always see a bunch of kids, losing their hair or having lost their hair, going through fright and pain. It puts into perspective for me that what I have pales in comparison. It gives me the message that if they can push on and fight, I certainly can. "Devon, For the first 4 1/2 years, I did not tell a soul. Firstly, the people that did know, mostly people in medical clinics, thought by the reports, that I had AIDS; the receptionists mostly...they would not touch pens that I touched and would always move their chairs back when I was near. The doctors, of course, knew the truth. Secondly, I held it all in because I didn't want to sound like a whiner. Several months ago, I decided to break the silence, mostly because I wanted to try to inspire people who were going through a similar situation, in the context of the articles here, in a business sense. I wanted to deal with disability rights, issues of missing work, and other issues. I have gotten nothing but positive feedback which obviously makes me happy that I decided to speak out. Thank you for reading and replying. I'm touched! Yoni "Subscribe

"Ronika, Unfortunately as a freelancer, it can often be feast or famine. I have had months with so many clients I have had to turn people away...and weeks and months where the phone doesn't ring. Makes it hard to forecast :( I was away when you updated your website. I love it! Very professional looking and eye-catching! Yoni"
