Marketing Strategies Emotional End Benefits
"Very nice job as always Susan! Emotional appeal is always a good thing. Some marketing makes you want something. Great marketing, I believe, makes you feel that you can't do withou that particular thing. I would be a bit hesitant though with new products when a company already has one that is successful. If the new product works out well...happy ending; if not, it can sabotage the original brand. "Knowledge Helps You Find The Money
"Jackie, Must-read! An epic post, and that's a word I don't use very often. Great information as always and you have a style that is out-of-the-ordinary; quite a good thing! Fun to read, always something to get the reader thinking. As a life-long fisherman (though never of the fly-variety) I can definitely relate to the concept. I started as a young'un with a Snoopy Rod and Reel, progressed to a nice Zebco for trout and bass seasons in Pennsylvania and used to love a bit of deep-sea fishing during our yearly trip to Florida. Now, whenever we get up there, which is every few years, I do a bit of fishing in the Sea of Gallilee, known here as the Kinneret. Thanks for more great advice and for touching on a subject near-and-dear to my heart! Yoni"Is the Google +1 Button Set to Fail?
"Emory, Nice analysis and nice graphics. You clearly invested some time and energy. It never ceases to amaze me how much graphs and charts can add to a blog post, though I don't have the slightest idea how to do it. I tried to save a screenshot once. After several hours, thousands of dead brain cells and probably withing seconds of a nervous breakdown, I simply gave up. I'll probably check out Google+ in like 2015. I always wait for a trend to die before jumping on the wagon. Time will tell if it succeeds or if it goes the way of New Coke, Bing, the Edsel and Ross Perot. "Adam, Very comprehensive...a must-read! I tried finding a mentor when I started writing; unfortunately writing is such a saturated market and so cut-throat that nobody was interested in counseling someone who would soon be a competitor. In a way I can't blame them. Now I do the same, only when I hear that someone is thinking of becoming a writer, I secretly enlist them in the French Foreign Legion; that way I know they'll be out of my hair for the next six years. As always, a very enjoyable post, and I continue to learn much from you. Thanks! Yoni "Dramatically boost your productivity by these two techniques
"Very nice job Timo and great advice! I follow the early wake-ups by default...two dogs who are raring to go for a nice long walk ever morning at around 5 a.m. We take a nice hour-long stroll through the forest and by the time I get back, I have energy to get some work done. Regards, and hope you are having a nice summer up in Finland! Yoni"Are you able to compromise?
"Catarina, Being flexible is a virtue, but we must always remember that there is a fine line between compromise and selling-out. George Bush Sr. was initially willing to "talk things out" with Saddam, but he also drew the proverbial and not-so-proverbial line in the sand. He said very publicly, "You cross this and you're gonna get a good ass-whoopin'. We can all give and take, but we must also have those things dictated by our principles, conscience and beliefs where we draw a line in the sand and refuse to budge. It's what allows us to maintain our integrity. Yoni"Subscribe
Biz Satire: Why an Ulcer or Nervous-Breakdown is Preferable to Showing Emotion in the Workplace
"Susan, I've worked in places which were so tight-knit that you could tell anyone anything. It was like a family. And like many, I have worked in places so venemous, so filled with hatred, jealousy, resentment and animosity that opening your mouth could be a very bad idea. If it is a close environment and healthy, perhaps each of us has someone in whom he or she can confide. But too much information? No sex-life please! I don't like hearing about peepies and weewies at work :)"
