"BigMoney: I was once a mentor. While in college in the States, I was a Big Brother to a single-parent kid in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. The kid had been in a shitload of trouble and was considered high-risk. About two months in, the kid was busted for selling drugs and ended up in juvenile lock-up. Perhaps my mentoring skills were lacking though I thought I was doing a pretty good job. That sad episode aside, being a mentor and having a mentor in business can be of great value. I always though and dreamed that my Little Brother would become an airline pilot, attorney or doctor. I wonder where he is now? Nice article!
