Will the Chanel Brand Suffer From New Allegations That Founder Coco Chanel Was a Nazi Collaborator?
"Like the others who commented here, I don't think there'll be much more than a passing backlash *even* if a book or movie were made. Aside from those around today who either directly experienced the war and Hitler's y"s atrocities or who grew up in the house of those who did, it's hard for people to truly relate to what happened all those years ago. Few people I think will really make a connection between today's brand and what its founder did with the Nazis some 70 years ago. Adam"What Social Media Etiquette Is… and Isn’t
"All very true... What many small business owners fail to realize is that they will get the most out of their social media engagements when they are an extension of their face to face relationships in tone, content, and intent. Setting boundaries and communicating with people respectfully applies as much online as it does offline. Adam "What Social Media Etiquette Is… and Isn’t
"Very good point, Duncan. It's common sense; social relationships 101... I think the people who do this online, probably do something similiar even when they are face to face with other people... With so many things, such as information, entertainment, and food coming at us in an instant, some people may not have developed the patience needed to build relationships, build up a business, etc- whether online or off. They want *everything* to happen in an instant. Adam"There's No Such Thing As A Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder
"Hi Steve, The some really good points you brought up about customer perceptions and value. As I was reading your post, I immediately thought about Apple, Starbucks, heck, even my daughter suddenly sprouted a fuzzy tail when I thought about her infatuation with Sillybandz... A successful entrepreneur once said to me that small business owners should first and foremost try to target their own age group because they will automatically be able to "get them" and "speak their language." It's true, but even so, there's still the problem you brought up of seeing the world through your own perceptions, attitudes, and experiences. It's why it's *so* important that business owners speak to their customers either literally or figuratively via market research. "Yoni, You're exceptionally talented, remember? (Meaning a lot of writers wouldn't succeed with your strategy alone) For most people even if they are just starting their own freelancing business, they will need to make some kind of investment of money and certainly of time and energy in order to generate a worthwhile income. Though a fully written business plan may not be necessary, the *process* of answering the questions therein definitely is. Adam"Your Attitude Can Affect Marketing Success
"Hi Susan, You can add two attitudes that can make a very big difference in marketing: 1. Belief in the value/quality of your products or services and 2. Valuing your customers... I wish more companies would be like Yoni's boot supplier (Yoni, you should include the name of the company). How much did it really cost them to add in all those extras? Probably not much. And paying someone to make several phone calls an hour probably wasn't such a big expense either. But their potential gain could add up to a lot of future revenue- not only from current customers, but from word of mouth advertising. Adam"Subscribe

"Very good point, Duncan. I'm going to add it to my post. There *are* ways, however, to permanently delete any information and files stored on the hard drive of a computer/laptop. Two free options to look into are: Darik's Boot and Nuke- http://www.dban.org/ and Secure Delete by Object Media http://www.objmedia.demon.co.uk/freeSoftware/secureDelete.html Adam"
