Service Industry: The Job is Not Done Once Complete
"It's true that follow through and follow up are extremely important, however it seems that a lot of businesses don't have the knack of it. But as a consumer, what I value even more than that is thorough and exemplary customer service when I'm having a problem. Although I hate their marketing (the use of women as sex symbols) GoDaddy has this kind of customer service. They really go that extra mile, and they have the follow up nailed down too. Just my two cents. Thanks for the post!"5 Great Female Entrepreneurs
"These are some female entrepreneurs from another generation...however I'd like to see something on modern women entrepreneurs, their journeys, their success stories. People are always throwing up Mary Kay, and while her story is interesting, it's been around for a while. I challenge you to post something on new women entrepreneurs. Thanks for posting!"How to Cross-Train Your Employees
"From the perspective of a business owner or manager, I can see the advantages of cross training, however having been on the employee side of the equation, I can tell you that employees almost always feel devalued by it. They feel there is no additional money and more effort required just to keep in place, like treading water without getting ahead--actually swimming. This is usually for low end work, where workers are often not compensated properly. On the high end, I'm thinking there's a whole different mindset. There it's about adding value to oneself as an employee and for the company. But for people making under $20 an hour I'm thinking that you're going to have to offer a whole lot of other incentives if there's no additional money."Why Aimless Blogging is Killing Your Profit
"I think the biggest problem is when you're just not dedicated to your blog, or for whatever reason you can't faithfully post to it on a regular basis. I have to admit in my early blogging days I let a couple of blogs peter out from lack of motivation. This list is a good warning of what to avoid. Thanks!"Top 7 Self-Sabotaging Behaviors for
Work at Home Women
"I think this is a pretty accurate list of self-destructive behaviors for anyone, not just women. And I have to admit, I've fallen prey to procrastination from time to time. At any rate, it's good to keep this in mind (to avoid)! Thank you for posting!"Women in Tech: Women Rule! (Infographic)
"Awesome infographic, but then, I freely admit that I'm biased. As an adult student of IS and, of course, a woman, I'm hoping that when I finally get out into an IT career I won't have to experience the level of chauvinism I've dealt with in other, more mundane jobs. Thanks for the post!"5 Ideas to Brand Yourself with Paper.li
"Yet another social media/curation tool I'm going to have to try. There are so many out there these days, that sometimes I feel I'm going to have to take a working vacation just to try them all out. Thanks for the overview--I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!"Subscribe
How to Use Instagram to Improve Your Landing Page
"I haven't tried Instagram yet, but I'm gearing up to do so. One of the problems I have with the idea of it is that I like to think, consider, before just sharing photos. To me, sharing photos is more personal in some ways than text, and it's important to be equated with images that speak to who one is. I've never been one to share stuff in such a knee-jerk fashion, however I'd like to have more info on the potential and actual uses of Instagram. Interesting. Thanks!"
