Do Your New Customers Have Selective Hearing? | M4B Marketing
"Hi Susan, Selective hearing! I like how you put this, but it is very true. I think you're right that this is partially because of special offers that make our businesses more complex. (Think car dealership and why so many people seem to hate the experience of buying a new car.) But in truth, sometimes I think it's the fault of some business owners too. Terms and conditions are added to make the offer look better than it is (as opposed to spending time trying to figure out how to simply give the best product or service to our customers that we can at the best price possible.) I'm not saying that we intentionally try to deceive our customers. Instead, I'm saying we are aware that only great offers stand out in a world with lots of options. But we need to spend more time making sure our offers really are the better option, as opposed to just appearing to be. So, question for the BizSugar community. What's the best way to create a value customers won't be able to resist without adding tons of special conditions that make our businesses more complicated?"Productivity Doesn't Have To Be Hard. Read These 7 Tips
"Hi Ivana, I love this. Particularly the part about focusing on the top 20 percent. This idea seems somewhat related to the strategy of paying attention to the net promoter score. Is that your take as well? And is there a danger in ignoring all the rest? "4 Rules of Thumb Regarding Workers Compensation Insurance for Employers

"Hi Ivan, Interesting post and a broader definition of POS than most might be used to. Looking at customer loyalty programs in particular as part of POS may be new to some small business owners. But, of course, when you look at business intelligence applications like Swipely, for example, that is exactly what we are talking about. Because, of course, everything works off of basic Point of Sale technology. "50 Ways Your Business Can Save Money Right Now
"Hi Rebecca, Wow, what a great list and thanks for sharing it with the BizSugar community. I’d add to number 46 that, depending on what you’re doing on that computer, you might even switch out that laptop for a tablet and keyboard. For heavy duty work this might not do, but for updating social media and blogging it may be OK. I’m leaving this comment in the BizSugar comment area as well in the hopes we’ll get more suggestions from the community!"Business Intelligence is the Icing on the Cake for Butter Lane Bakery
"Aira, Thanks so much for sharing this one with the BizSugar community! As you know, small businesses need to focus not just on working harder but on working smarter. This approach seems to be a step in the right direction -- at least for some retailers. For others, it's probably worth taking a closer look at. "Top three tips to get more sales via Facebook for only $500
"Hi Cate, I assume we're talking here about paying for ads and sponsored stories and not paying one of these sites that promises you a certain number of likes on your page. Because the second would be a definite violation of Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and would likely get your site penalized. Just think we need to be very clear about the advice we're putting out there."Subscribe
