Onboarding New Employees for Startups: The Culture
"Hi Luxr, This ends up being a more important part of the process than most people realize and I think it's something some companies seem to spend zero time on. My questions are 1.) to what degree is this a continuation of the hiring process, in the sense that you should probably be looking for someone who might be a good fit to your culture from the beginning, and 2.) what part of this process have you had the most trouble with? What part is the most challenging? It would be great if you could respond in the comment section on BizSugar because I think the general community would get a lot out of your insights here."Onboarding New Employees for Startups: The Culture
"Great insights. I do think the gap between who you hire and who you think you're hiring is the big issue here. It's easy to set this as your goal but sometimes very hard to pull it off successfully. I'm wondering if there are any techniques you could share (without disclosing your entire bag of tricks, of course) for trying to evaluate cultural fit during what must inevitably be the all too short interview process. "Employees Build Your Brand: Oakhurst Dairy Case Study
"Hi Emily, It also says something about your company culture. As a designer, what do you think? Is there room for the concept of overall business design, a holistic approach to company culture, branding, service, marketing, communications, training, etc.? What shape would overall company design take? It would certainly require an interdisciplinary approach. I'd love to start a discussion on this topic over in the comment section on BizSugar. It would be great if you could lend your comments as well. "5 Tips for Writing Your Small Business Holiday Emails
"Hi Christelle, Wonderful post. I'm recommending it to everybody in the BizSugar community. I'm wondering if you could add, possibly in the comment section on BizSugar as well, for the benefit of all our members, a bit more about what a business's main objectives should be in sending out Holiday greetings?"5 Tips for Writing Your Small Business Holiday Emails
"Hi Christelle, Thanks for your insight. As far as participating on BizSugar, I'd say you're doing just fine. Remember in addition to sharing content, it's good to comment on other people's content and vote on the posts you find helpful too. Members not only see your comments but can also see what you voted on, either below each post or from your profile. So it's a great way to curate content and share with other members what you find most valuable. "Get Your Average Time On Page As High as 40 Minutes With Magnetic Content
"Hi Adam Love the part about looking at how magnetic your content is, but another question springs to mind. And I think you've partially covered it when talking about additional resources. But the question is how to get people to further explore your site. In other words, how do you keep people clicking through to more and more of the content you have to offer? I think this takes more than just linking to other content you have on the site. It also has to do with structuring your content in a way that gives you logical places to lead them. This takes some planning when creating your content in the first place. Could you lead us through the steps? Love if you could share something about this in the BizSugar community too."How to Join the Best LinkedIn Groups
"Hi Nicole, LinkedIn groups are an absolutely great resource and one of the first I used when starting out on the Web. That being said, there is sometimes a conflict between #3 and #4 on your list. Sometimes smaller groups just aren't that active and can't give you the response you need to make using them worthwhile. I'm wondering. If you had a choice between a very large but active and focused group and a smaller one that was frankly just not as active, which would you choose."How to Join the Best LinkedIn Groups
"Hi Nicole, Thanks for the thoughtful response. I think it's very important to consider that responsiveness first off. I can think of groups with VERY large memberships where you will, none-the-less, get great response from the community. On the other hand, there are groups where the signal to noise ratio is simply too great. Also, I think it's important to remember that groups change over time. So, if you were getting good response from one group and find you aren't any longer, move on. "How to Pick a Niche for Content Curation
"Hi Scott, Great and thoughtful post and podcast on niche marketing and content curation. It's certainly something we here in the BizSugar community talk and think a lot about. I'm wondering if you could offer a bit more detail here in the comment section about how to sync your curation strategy with your business model. In other words, there might be a different approach for creating or curating content around a specific product or service you sell as opposed to creating a site that will be monetized through advertising or affiliate marketing on a specific topic."Subscribe
How to Reduce Your Taxable Income Quickly and Legally - for Entrepreneurs
"Hi there Nicole, And thanks for sharing this post with the BizSugar community. I think this advice is particularly relevant to entrepreneurs since their incomes will invariably fluctuate. It’s also, as you said, important to consult an accountant first to make sure the purchases you make are appropriate. "
