Good question, Lyceum. Before starting crowdSPRING, after we outlined our business model (explain what you need, ask creatives to submit actual designs, and pick your favorite), we wanted to test it. We posted a request for logo submissions in an online forum and offered $200 to the winning designer. We essentially tested what later became the crowdsourcing model on crowdSPRING. Dozens of designers participated and the winner was ... a janitor from Canada. Seriously - talent can live anywhere. That janitor had picked up Corel Draw to learn design and found that he was quite good at it. Rather than drive a taxi to supplement his income, he became a designer and has been very successful as a designer (I suspect he gave up janitorial services years ago). "
I took a look at TeuxDeux some time ago (after evaluating a bunch of different to-do apps). I don't recall specifically what I liked/didn't like about TeuxDeux. At the moment, I'm mostly using Asana (including for to-do functionality). I've used Wunderlist for a few years as my personal to-do list and have been pretty happy."
