Book Review; "Internet Marketing From The Real Experts"
"Thanks for the review, Joel. I certainly hope your foray into affiliate marketing works out. The book looks interesting and if I see that I'll have time to fit more reading into my busy schedule, I'll try to buy it through your link. See? You're a master of affiliate marketing already."Facebook Intervention: Why I Deleted Over 3000+ Facebook Friends | 2 The Next Level
"Again I think this depends on how you are using your Facebook account. Are you maintaining an account to stay connected with friends and family? Are you doing so to connect with work associates, possible partners or other people in your industry? Are you doing so to promote your business? Ultimately, connections are certainly about quality over quantity. But quality is relative based on the kinds of relationships you are seeking to maintain. "Small Business Owners Spinning Their Wheels Trying to Build a Sales Team
"Wow Doyle, GREAT post and informative about the subject of building the right sales team from a small business owners' perspective. Speaking for myself I'd love to see a lot more links like this on BizSugar because I think it's one of the most important decisions small business people and entrepreneurs make when starting to grow their businesses. "Biz Owners: Can $'s Buy You Happiness? | Biz Money Matters |
"Thanks for the thoughtful post, Tony. I really think the major purpose of small business is not so much making a lot of money but creating the resources to fulfill your needs. So probably meeting the needs of you and your family should probably be the key to planning what success really means for you and your business. "The Ultimate List: 40 Social Networking Sites Specifically for Small Business, Entrepreneurs, and Startups
"Wow. What a list. Was surprised at first scan not to see Facebook and Twitter among the 40 before I realized you were deliberately leaving them out of the mix. One obvious site I think you should consider, though as a moderator here I clearly have a vested interest, is our own little community BizSugar.com. How about adding us on?"The Ultimate List: 40 Social Networking Sites Specifically for Small Business, Entrepreneurs, and Startups
"I do notice you haven't included StumbleUpon or Digg, for example, but I guess I side with Brian Clark of Copyblogger on this one...except maybe in a different direction. I think the category of social media (the term you use is social network) is a great deal broader than perhaps people often consider when using the label. Brian, for example, wrote a post about how he's tired of people putting blogs in a separate category than the rest of social media. I tend to feel the same about bookmarking and many of the other genres people might not immediately think of as social media or social networks. But just as with Digg or StumbleUpon...or Flickr for that matter, at BizSugar your submissions stand a much better chance of acceptance if there are other people you have connected with, who's stuff you have commented on and who have commented on your stuff. In short, your stuff is better accepted and finds a wider audience if you are not simply submitting articles but actually involved (networking socially?) in the BizSugar community. In this sense, I guess there are probably even more sites you might want to add but in that case you'll need an even longer list. "Google Confuses Us with Its Charming TV Appearance
"You know, John, I wonder if the answer isn't simply positioning. Other products aside, it could be that search function remains what Google wants to be most known for. True it's hard to believe there is anyone on the planet who doesn't know Google's main product is search.(I'm also convinced there are a substantial number of people who don't even know Bing exists.) But I get the feeling that all the other gizmos and gadgets (and all the other online products) remain pretty much a sort of ongoing publicity for Google's core business: online search. And I suspect they haven't yet reached the end of what that product can do. "Subscribe

Differentiate Your Company with Superior Customer Service
"Great customer service post. Thanks. I think small business owners run the gamut between believing customer service can save an otherwise failing business model to believing it is totally unimportant. Both are the wrong view. Customer service is an important component of your business and potentially your brand. Not the only component, but an important one. "
