"Years ago I used to manually clear cookies every day. My new Windows 7 computer doesn't seen to want me to be able to. I'd rather re-enter passwords & start fresh, but apparently Microsoft is in love with cookies. If I could, I'd clear all of 'em like I used to. I only like the edible kind! businessavante"Mobile Apps: Success Is In The Marketing
"I have to question the app for ER waiting times. No ER can predict what's going to be ailing the next few people who enter. Patients with gunshot trauma & heart attacks are treated before people with broken arms (this is called triage). The hospital system I worked at expressly forbid giving out guestimates on wait time, though they guaranteed "someone" would see you in 30 minutes (not necessarily a Doctor or nurse - you might get some ice cream if they didn't). businessavante "The No-Reason-to-Take-a-Day-Off-of-Work Reason to Take a Day Off of Work (Approved by Sigmund Freud!)
"Hi Yoni, They call those "personal" days here, starting in the '80's. But it's been over a decade since you could take one off w/o jumping through hoops. The original idea was great, then the malingerers started abusing them like they do everything else, ruining it for those that might really need it. The hospital I worked at was something like Greenpoint - they talked endlessly about caring about their employees, but didn't back it up with actual care. businessavante (Duncan)"Zombie Edition: How Slander Can Destroy a Brand - Imgur
"Slander has to be intentional - the perpetrator has to know the statement is false in the 1st place, and say it with intent to damage the victim. Truth is the ultimate defense to slander - i.e. if the negative statement is true, it's not slanderous. If one IS slandered, they must show how it "damaged" them (financially). businessavante"Subscribe
The 3 Biggest Mistakes Online Business Owner Should Avoid
"I really enjoyed this article, Ileane! Before the web I noticed the same thing in magazines that you mention in #1 - it's dribs & drabs of info in no particular order, not necessarily leading to a definable conclusion. That's why I relied on books for clear-cut, structured info. businessavante (Duncan)"
