"Hollywood has made too much money off of insult humor to be offended - look at "Fat" Jack Leonard, Don Rickles, the Dean Martin "Roasts" (when being drunk was still funny - before MADD), the Jeffersons, and just about every sit-com since. The business world - the real world - is another question. I've found that so many people are in fact humorless (especially at work), that it's a big risk. Either they just never laugh, or their thinking what an idiot you are when you're trying to liven things up.
