We all saw what happened to our errant friend, George Costanza - he started out whiny (sort of a short, bald, chubby, bespectacled Woody Allen), then "blossomed" into a full-on rage-a-holic. Rage-a-holic George was hilarious as an exaggeration on TV, because we weren't working next to him for 8-10 hours a day. Built-up stress (and great writing) caused the rage. "Wonderful, as always, Martin. I'd add that it's wise to let the buyer determine the end-shipper. I can no longer do business with giants Amazon or eBay because they force Post Office delivery on me. eBay's "standard" is USPS with "delivery confirmation", which only proves that the barcode was scanned - nothing more. Mailboxes in my building are not secure - I've had stolen mail more than once. In my neighborhood, UPS is the only reliable shipper - they always require a signature (which isn't necessarily true in other neighborhoods I've lived in). "Hi Chris. As a consumer, rather than a business owner, this is kind of scary - in fact, it's both dreadful & frightful. Not only will every site I purchase from know everywhere I was on their site (that I was on their site because I bought from them is all I'm comfortable with them knowing), they'll know all the other sites I've been to previously. Where does this sort of tracking of individuals end? Once G+ takes over (and it will take over - no business has the guts to defy them), everyone's life will be in their hands - and we didn't even elect them - nor can we oust them. Duncan"Subscribe
