AP Breaking News: Large Quake Rocks Washington D.C. Area, Felt Along East Coast
"The local news is all over it now (I don't have cable, so I had to wait for the 5:00pm news). It's the strongest earthquake in the eastern US since 1897 - over 100 years - 5.8 on the Richter scale. Most recent ones were around 4.0/4.2. I think the earlier one I felt was March or April 1981, not 1980 (based on where I lived, and the still bare trees)."The Most Astonishing Stories Come From My Clients

You think you're following 'Honest' Jimmy-Joe Shmeckelhedd III (w/his smiling visage, and bio stating only that he loves dewy mornings), but lo & behold, in 10 days "he" re-directs into a drug site. Beware of url shorteners - they're tailor-made for redirects! Duncan"New Harvard Study Shows Fear by Bloggers in the Arab World
"I'm pretty sure Google will soon become as close to "Big Brother" as anything we've experienced in the U.S. - with the possible exception of J. Edgar Hoover's tenure in the FBI. He had dossiers on everyone, but he didn't have Google's reach into literally everything we do online (a thought which makes my skin crawl)."Subscribe

"If it officially occurred at 1:51 pm Eastern, it took 2 minutes for the seismic waves to reach NE Ohio some 291 miles away - over 8,700 mph (more than 11 times the speed of sound at sea level, Mach 1, which is 760 mph). Mach 11.5 - could I out-run it if I had lotsa coffee??"
