I think the next few years has the potential to be some of the most exciting years for the Hotel industry in a long time. We now are seeing a shift where the experience will become the center everything we do. And it will require Hotel to hire people with new skills that we don't see too much of at the moment. Have fun in Copenhagen. The pastries there are just really awesome. And of course, if you get time to take a visit to Carlsberg breweries do it! Here you touch on a topic that I soon plan writing about. Customer Experience we know today is a key driver for new customers coming into to Hospitality Industry. But what is more interesting as a result of this traditional Customer Service is changing radically. I worked a long time in Customer Service and it been a mission for me for a long time to change the fulcrum here.. "
Thanks, Martin. I followed Chris for a very long time. He once had a traveler blog that was fun. But I think it got a bit distractive for his main purpose. I read blogs from smart biz people like Chris and Jay Bear that both write about the Customer Experience. Though their eyes are primarily from an outside perspective. I believe will also need some inside/out perspectives. We need a good mix from both sides to help Hotels move in the right direction. "
Building a Social Media Marketing Strategy for Hotels that Optimize Online Visibility and Creates Immediate Results"Thanks a lot for the kind feedback. Just like Hotels can learn from other brands they can learn something from Hotels. Hotels, in general, have followed very traditional marketing strategies. Though I will say the last couple of years we have seen a very positive shift where we experience more innovation and creative forces come into the industry. There are still some challenging gaps to close, but that is something we work hard to help Hotels close. Next generation Hoteliers will be attractive for a wide range of industries. Cheers.. "
Building a Social Media Marketing Strategy for Hotels that Optimize Online Visibility and Creates Immediate Results"Hi, Martin. I studied Roger Smith Hotel back then. Brian Simpson and Adam Wallace were the true pioneers of putting Social Media on the Hotel agenda. I meet Brian back in the days at a Blog World event. Can't recall if I read the article Tamar wrote. .. Cheers.. Are "
Hi, Lyceum. Some Hotels respond to check-ins, but it not a critical part of the Social Media Marketing strategy. Not sure how many Hotels that still use Swarm. I don't use Swarm as part of my strategies working with Hotels. For micro-moments that is important today check out Moxy Hotels Instagram profile. Cheers.. Are"
Hi, Heather. Thanks a lot for the feedback. I built my Hotel Blog on Blue Ocean Marketing Strategies. And have written some articles that answer the question you raised here. I was debating if I was going to add more content with the 11 points I listed. But as I wrote the article the 11 points become more some end points that I wanted to leave a bit open. And do more individual follow-ups with each point. But I see your point since I knew I was debating this while writing. Sometimes I go with my gut feeling to see how it turns out. No doubt it is part of the learning experience. So far I get a good response in some ways, but the call to action is something I most definitive need to work on. I was also thinking about put a link there back to articles where I wrote more detailed about Value Proposition. At the moment, I leaning more towards still do the follow-up articles. Again thanks for the feedback. It help me a great deal when I get feedback that will make put more effort into improve my articles. Cheers.. Are Morch Hotel Blogger & Social Media Manager "
