5 Low Cost Ways To Market Your Business -The Small Business Playbook
"I think the fear of doing pro-bono work is that you will become undervalued. It's important to choose clients wisely, I usually will only do it for non-profits that need help, though I have helped a few small businesses that were about to go under. "Of course Martin! Yelp uses a pretty sophisticated review filter to keep out fake reviews. Sometimes it works too good and removes genuine reviews from your customers. If one of your customers leaves a review on Yelp, and then doesn't leave another review over a period of time, Yelp will most likely take down the review. It's frustrating as most people are not active Yelp users and you could be wasting your customers time by asking them to leave a review there. Yelp is a valuable spot for reviews, though I tend to only ask people to leave them there if they are active on the platform."The Small Business Guide To Customer Reviews -The Small Business Playbook
"Yelp has a stringent review filter and tends to remove many reviews, even valid ones. I've found from experience that if you're not an active "Yelper", your reviews will not stay online. I've had reviews for one of my businesses live for over a year, then they all vanish. Customers tend to get annoyed when you ask for a review, they take the time to write one, then Yelp doesn't publish it. That's why I steer people towards other review platforms.....unless Yelp is vital to your business."Subscribe
