Day 4 – How to Write Killer Headlines – The Basics
"#4 - Two examples of titles everyone shortens anyway: "Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" = "Dr. Strangelove" ('64 B+W), and: "The Thing From Another World" = "The Thing" ('51 B+W). "Them!" ('54 B+W) didn't need to be shortened, though it could've been "Them Darn Giant Ants!!!!" (kidding) businessavante"Hey! Small Businesses no one uses the Print Yellow Pages anymore get in the Local SEO game
"I agree that businesses definitely need to be online, but I DO use the phone book for local listings. I don't need to see reviews & maps if it's in my own backyard because local "word of mouth" is literal, not virtual. If they're not in the book, I won't know they exist, and I'm not about to look online for businesses around the corner - just for what used to be "mail order" businesses. Maybe I'm a dinosaur (here's your cue weigh in, Entrepreneurasaurus). businessavante"Hate the Office? Me too! - Sian Phillips
"I've only been working at home for a short time, but the 1 thing I've noticed is that I can never really leave - the d@#n computer is always right there - right across the room (I live in a small apartment - no separate office). Otherwise, it beats driving to work hands down - and I haven't even done this in winter yet (which should prove to be a tremendous relief). businessavante "Subscribe
Sales Roundabout - The Pipeline
"Interesting! Locally (N.E. Ohio) Yield means you have to stop if anyone's coming the other way - like a Stop sign that only applies when there's traffic. The only judgment comes in if you want to gun it past an approaching vehicle and technically (& legally) be in the wrong. businessavante"
