There is no universal deal template and no single solution to winning deals. Your company expects you to know when you are off the roadmap, to be resourceful enough to achieve your outcome anyway, and to get help when you need it Read More
Japanese soldier Hiroo Onoda spent 29 years of his life thinking WWII was still raging...and he fought on! Perhaps never in modern history has an episode contained so much misinformation, miscommunication and ignorance of "The Writing on the Wall!"

Some four years ago, I started Bingo Card Creator, a business which sells software to teachers. At the time, my big goal for the future was eventually making perhaps $200 a month, so that I could buy more video games without feeling guilty about it. The business has been successful beyond my wildest expectations and has made it possible to quit my day job at the end of this month. The amount of time I’ve spent on it has fluctuated: the peak was the week I launched (50 hours in 8 days), a very busy week in the last few years spiked up to as many as 20 hours, and the average over the period is (to my best estimate) about 5 hours Read More

This article from The Daily Beast republished in Business Insider looks at a political trend independent of grass roots Tea Party organization, Wall Street or conservative punditry that the current Obama administration may need to worry over. That trend is the growing disillusion of mom and pop small businesses with an administration they feel has ignored their needs and sabotaged their efforts in a down economy while continuing to make promises and to pay lip service to their role in a financial recovery. What do small business leaders in our community feel about the U.S. government's efforts thus far, or those of other governments around the world, on behalf of small business? Read More
