I've traditionally shared many tips on blogging and still have people hiring me to do it, because it's just not part of their core business. I think this is how professional blogging, social media or Twitter services are different than coaching or consulting. If you give people advice for free, they are unlikely to pay you for it, but if you give people tips showing how to do something and demonstrating your expertise, people WILL hire you to do it for them because it's just too complicated or time consuming or both to do it for themselves.
