Mandela, Beckham, Frank and . . . . You?
"Hi Shawn, You make a great point about companies having a compelling story. I think many of them don't or they don't know how to tell their own story. Jason Fried wrote a great article for Inc. Magazine called Why is Business Writing so Awful? (http://www.inc.com/magazine/20100501/why-is-business-writing-so-awful.html) He cautions if you're not differentiating yourself from your competition, no one should buy from you. I would take it one step further and ask, if you're not doing anything different, why bother to be in business in the first place? Thanks for your kind words. "4 Reasons I'm not Posting Photos on Facebook
"It's the tagging thing I find really disturbing. I had a friend tagged in a photo. It showed up on my wall. The thing I found alarming was I knew no one else in the photo - by name or by face - including a cute little toddler with no clothes on. It was a totally innocent photo but I certainly don't my that happening to my family. While I can't prevent it altogether, I can certainly make sure I'm not responsible for promoting the practice."9 Tips That Improved My Blog
"Hi Martin, Thanks so much for adding your suggestions. Audio and video are two things I'm considering. For now, I'm just trying to tackle the use of static images. :0) All new info on social media says video is the up and coming thing. Guest bloggers is another thing on my list but thanks for the reminder. Everyone I've spoken to says it's a great way to increase readership. One thing I've discovered with my blog is it's sort of like owning a house, there's always something you can fix, change, improve, etc. "6 Benefits of the Paperless Office: Automation and Global Warming
"Yep, it can save more trees but also loads more man hours and increase collaboration across offices. I thought it was an interesting post because everyone is talking paperless in terms of the environment but, in fact, it started as an efficiency idea."9 Ways to Get a Bargain on Professional Services
"I'm not sure bargaining is compulsory. The service provider, first and foremost, must provide value. If the service is priced correctly, there won't be a question from the buyer about price. My point in writing this article, however, is that there are circumstances where I'm going to lower my prices. Of course, the savvy buyer, armed with this information, will be able to drive a bargain. Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your comment on this post. "Subscribe
