Asset Based Marketing: Where Content Meets Design
"Hi Ryan, Thank you for your generous comments. I'm encouraged to hear this opinion coming from a web and print designer. Often designers and content providers compete with each other for client business, each trying to own a project and working in isolation. The people that really lose in this situation is the client. I would LOVE to see more true collaboration between content and design. If we can pull the two practices together, everyone wins - especially the consumer. "Hi Susan, I worked in an apple orchard when I was in high school. My job was to pick up a 5 lb. bag of apples, spin it, and put a staple in the top of the bag. I, too, made a game out of it. I also plotted a way to get to university so I didn’t have to spend my life “working on the line”. (I’m from Detroit so that was a very real possibility!) You’re right, there were many valuable marketing lessons to be had, too. Great post. "It's nice to see you posting at BizSugar again, Yoni. I used to be a computer programmer, too. It took me 10 years to realise I really didn't like it much. I guess you're a lot smarter than me. :0)"What Content Marketers Can Learn From an Australian Non-Profit
"You're so right about "grand people" understanding the importance of voting. They probably do have a high percentage of the demographic voting because a lot of those people fought for the freedoms we enjoy today. The Boomers pose a real problem though. As they begin to enter the aged care industry, there's not enough room for them. I think they'll transform aged care just like everything else they've encountered. Let's hope it's for the better. 7 Ways to Get More Value From Your eNewsletter
"Blogging is certainly an effective way to communicate with your clients and prospects but it hasn't taken over newsletters. That might sound odd to people who are spending a lot of time on the internet but consider the millions of people that never surf but check email every day. I agree with you. I subscribe to the blogs I don't want to miss. Again, because having something delivered to my inbox is more reliable than my surfing habits. I do have my blog registered with MailChimp so people can subscribe to have it delivered to their inbox. I did it initially as a short-term solution to not having a newsletter. As it stands, I don't think I'll bother with the newsletter at this point. Still, a newsletter is something entirely different. If you compare it to a newspaper, the blog would be the op-ed section. For some people, that's all they need to know. Thank you so much for your thought provoking comment. I appreciate it. Cheers, Sarah"
