I like Shashi's thoughts here. I moved away from a smartphone about a year ago and am quite glad that I did. While I love the concept of the iPhone and Blackberry (i know they are vastly different, by the way), I just found that I was getting less done. Less quality work done. I was answering life in short bursts. I spend more time talking to people and prospects in person and by phone (instead of email) and get more business, too. Shashi makes some terrific points -- thanks Shashi."

I think you have shared a valid concern. Shawn has a good point, too. The companies who have created the new real-time search tools, like Topsy, have already built part of the solution into their model. While it is tough to beat the spammers, I think many of the search players are doing a healthy job of reducing its impact on our daily work lives."
